The Office Cast: Where Are They Now?

Now that our favorite show is over (but will live forever in our hearts and here on The Office-isms), we wanted to find out what upcoming projects were on the horizon for the cast members. In no particular order, here is what we've been able to dig up:

John Krasinski will voice the character "Frightening" Frank McCay in this summer's Monster's Inc. prequel, Monsters University which comes to theaters June 21, 2013 in the US.

Mindy Kaling will continue writing, producing and starring in her own television series on FOX called "The Mindy Project". "The Mindy Project" was renewed for a second season on March 4, 2013.

"The Mindy Project"'s Season 2 is likely to premiere this fall

Ellie Kemper (known to us as the beloved Kelly Erin Hannon) was cast as the lead in a pilot for NBC called "Brenda Forever" which has been passed upon initially but remains in contention. Another upcoming project she has is Dreamworks' Mr. Peabody & Sherman in which she voices Paula Peterson, the onscreen wife of Steven Colbert's Mr. Peterson, who is the nemesis of the former title character.

is expected to release in March of 2014

Craig Robinson appears in two summer films which have an apocalyptic theme. This Is The End which releases 06/12/2013 (today! as of this posting), and Rapture-palooza, which released last week. We've also learned that Craig will reprise his role as Nick in a sequel to 2010's Hot Tub Time Machine. However, release dates for the follow up have not yet been published. Go Craig! Also, he, together with Snoop Dogg, request that you "Take Yo Panties Off". So, if you are into that sorta thing.

And! appears on the soundtrack to the film with Snoop Dogg.

Rainn Wilson was cast as the lead in a new series for CBS called "Backstorm". While we cannot find any up-to-date information about the pilot, we can assure you that Rainn is plenty busy with his own projects, including this little thing and this fun stuff. He's also set to appear in the indie flick Uncanny, no release date available as of this posting.

Kate Flannery appears to be busy with her comedy duo act "The Lampshades" this summer.

"The Lampshades" is billed as
"The funniest fake lounge act in Hollywood"

Steve Carell was recently spotted at the "Ellen" show where he made an appearance as his "Despicable Me" character Gru. The sequel opens in theaters July 3rd.

Jenna Fischer has taken to the stage as we await her two upcoming films: You Are Here (which promises an all star cast including Owen Wilson, Zach Galifianakis and Amy Poehler) and Kiss Me. Neither film has available release dates.

Creed Bratton, we suppose will just go on being Creed. Check out info on his latest music at his website.

Ed Helms is one of the busiest former Office castmates, with no less than FOUR upcoming films. The highlight, we think, is Vacation which will be a sequel/remake of 1983's original film of the same name. Ed is set to play Rusty Griswold, the son of the lead character Clark Griswold, originally played by Chevy Chase. (No word yet as to whether Chase will appear in 2014's version.) The other upcoming films are They Come Together, We're The Millers and Someone Marry Barry.
