It’s been way too many months since we had to say farewell to our favorite television show. I don’t know about you but I’ve gone back and rewatched episodes repeatedly since the finale. Thank goodness for Netflix, am I right?

Fortunately, however, us fans have been treated to sightings of The Office cast members quite frequently as of late. Not only have some of our favorite Dunder Mifflin employees been spotted on the big screen but they are popping up on the small screen rather regularly as well. Where, on television, are we seeing these former Scranton residents? Well, I’m glad you asked because that’s what this article is all about!
Small Screen Sightings
Oscar Nunez has been spotted in some of my personal post- “The Office” favorites, New Girl and It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia. He landed a recurring role in the series Benched which has itself been, unfortunately, benched. Looking forward to seeing what’s around the corner for Oscar though. It’s always a delight when he shows up in something I’m watching.

Much like her on-screen nemesis, Angela Kinsey has been spotted on New Girl as well. It’s been a real treat seeing her familiar face on a regular basis. I can tell from her Instagram posts that she’s also in series called Bad Judge and according to her imdb page, she appeared in Hot in Cleveland. (Brian Baumgartner showed up in a couple episodes, too.) Oops, I really need to catch up with that show! Also looking forward to checking out what she has to offer on Rainn Wilson’s YouTube-based creation, “The Impression Guys”.
Apparently Clark Duke appeared regularly on Two and a Half Men before it's series finale last month. While I didn’t watch that particular Chuck Lorre show, I do watch Mom and I’ve been thrilled to see him appear on a few episodes and I look forward to seeing more of his character.

Despite the fact that some fans of The Office don't seem to be too excited about Ellie Kemper's new starring role, I'm personally totally psyched to have met the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. This Netflix original created by Tina Fey has all of the things I like: bright colors, a cult, and funny ladies. Not sure how it can get any better!

Of course, Rainn Wilson has been tearing it up on FOX's Backstrom. Personally, we think it's a great fix for Office fans since his title character has a fantastic blend of Dwight's impatience for shenanigans and Michael Scott's often over-the-line-but-yet-oh-so-funny offensiveness.

And finally, it seems that our sweet office receptionist turned office manager Jenna Fischer is slated to appear in a new "dramedy" with an Office connection called Apocalypse Slough where she will co-star with Rob Lowe and Megan Mullallay. Deadline reports that it will be a 10 part end-of-the-world series set in The Office U.K.'s hometown of Slough. I will be tuning into that one for sure!
Apocalypse Slough is set to premiere on NBC later this year. |
